GiessenlandenNet: a fibre network with 2,600 connections for homes and businesses
design · construction · maintenance
In 2016 L2Networks delivered 2,600 FttH and FttO connections for
GiessenlandenNet.
The area covers 6,600 addresses. Fibre was brought past 4,000 of them (home
passed) and 2,600 were actually connected (home connect), of which 2,400 went
on to take a service. The collaboration of local IT and network infrastructure
specialists produced both this network and L2Networks itself. Until the network
was handed over to KPN, L2Networks ran the complete layer 2 management of both
the data traffic and the IPTV.
